THE ART
of
ZAKE CAMPBELL'S
PAIN & PLEASURE
In the digital age you can know someone without meeting. Through algorithmic connection and limited distance, a user by the name of 'CampZake' caught my attention on Instagram.
Attending Ball State is a unique experience, you are promised the world of high art and often met with it - but you will likely encounter traditional midwest students as you leave your enclave.
The queer overtones that expelled like pheremones from Zake's art reminded me I was in the right place. Despite never officially meeting while in school, Zake stayed refreshed in my feed and memory.
Authenticity sticks out and is more impressive than superficiality in my book. With posts reflecting the struggle of being a waiter, all while creating multimedia as an accomplished art graduate - I knew the tides would change.
While Zake hasn't had his financial break through by selling his art just yet, his ability to create Goliath sized collections of sensuality has already arrived.
