Above the City
Feb 13 2026 - Financial District

In a testament to ambition, a display of Thai excellence took place high above New York City.

Titled “Up to the Sky” and located at the 102nd floor of the One World Observatory, the show was a feat of success for all involved.

Lead by Project Director, Tan Sawaddichai - best described as Founder/Project Director of Future Treasure, the brand he established to showcase emerging Bangkok designers.
Sawaddichai also serves as a Visionary/Curator at WDYW NEW YORK in collaboration with 3NY. A high-end boutique centrally located in SoHo, serving clientele since 2010.

The show featured Project Director Julius Stone and was supported by DITP Thai Trade Center New York.

Features brands included Vickteerut, Takara Wong, Landmee, and Sarran.
Vickteerut could be described as futuristic glamour. The things we dreamed people of the future would wear, Vickteerut produces.

Established in 2007 with the vision of “...elevated yet wearable pieces which present a shortcut to a perfect edited uniform for modern urban women,” according to their website.

With head coverings matching satins and silks along with exaggerated necklines throughout the collection. The piece featured in the middle photo creates a visual illusion on the chest. These are looks for modern elegance.
Takara Wong, a fashion label based in Bangkok, inspired by global artistry was showcased next. Wong, best known for unique prints and bold concepts followed through. The fashion house also has a collaborative collection with Levi’s and caffe and bar concept titled ‘Cafe Takara Wong’ located in Chonburi - a major coastal city in Thailand.

The edgy patterns that rocked the 2000’s made a continued appearance. If you wear a Takara Wong piece, you are the focal point of the dance floor.

With a hope of “…Asian twisted with Western style of America..." according to their Instagram.

These aren’t just clothes for any cowboy, but a show-stopping one. Western wear that you can’t find on the streets of Nashville or Aspen - but Bangkok or New York.
Landmeé then presented an elaborate collection. Originally, a small family business in 2002 which quickly garnered attention for high-quality embroidery and premium fabrics.

The fashion house also features Landmeé Love Story - the brands dedicated bridal line.

I was genuinely fascinated by the quality of work  presented. From a neon ensemble featuring an oversized red bow - to the silver sequins heart shaped look.

The luxury in embroidery was on full display with many pieces being made with handcrafted hearts and flower petals. There was no cost spared in the production of lace and corresponding evening gloves.

I must also give a shoutout to the makeup, hair and accessories team. This helped bring extra drama to each look.
The final presentation was SARRAN by Sarran Youkongdee, best described as bold. With a powerful brand message online stating, “I believe that beyond equality, women deserve to be treated with dignity, honor, and admiration.”

That’s a message I couldn’t agree with more, and it shows in the collection.

We see the Dok Rak flower in styling, one that I later learned is a Thai bloooming flower, translated to Flower of Love.

Seeing the striking red on Supermodel Elton Ilirjani (HANKO) was a highlight. Ilirjani has been a consistent model in 3NY featured shows and serves as a predominant LGBTQIA+ activist.

There was also an almost storybook look featuring a multitiered system of elaborate flags. Something you would see on a red carpet!I  haven’t seen anything like this outside or museum pieces.

The entire show was a display of Thai individuality and creativity, something that sets this show apart from others.
Thank you all so much for having me!

I want to also extend a thank you to the following talent involved. It truly takes a team.

Xoxo,
Scout
